- About me: Currently I am a “Professor Adjunto” (equivalent to Assistant Professor in the USA) in the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil. I received my undergraduate degree in Production Engineering at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), where I also pursued my Master degree in Mathematics. Later, I received my PhD degree in Mathematics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
- My research concentrates in the field of Singularity Theory. I am interested in the study of the geometry and topology of singular spaces, such as complex analytic spaces and real subanalytic sets. We look for invariants and handleable structures that helps us to understand and classify such objects. In many cases, this can be done by looking at some non-singular spaces that degenerate to the singular one. We can also try do describe how these singular spaces behavior under small perturbations, in some topological senses.
